Use Lefkada Town for the broadest first base
Town works best when you want lagoon orientation, easy services, the Santa Maura side and cleaner access to the north and east.
Nidri changes the stay toward the east
Nidri makes more sense when the eastern coast, nearby islets and harbour movement are central to the trip.
Vasiliki belongs to the southern plan
The southern harbour logic is stronger when you want to read Lefkada through Vasiliki, Agiofili and the lower part of the island rather than through town.
Road geography matters more than map distance
West-coast beaches, mountain villages and the Cape Lefkatas route ask for cleaner daily structure than a simple distance check suggests.
